, Density, Luster, Lock!!!
LCA Quechua is a proud upright herdsire, carrying a spectacular suri fleece over his solid well conformed frame. A Breeders accuracy of selection is improved if one includes and evaluates the traits under selection on close relatives. At Alpaca Rose Ranch we pay particular attention to the herdsires dam
along with her offspring (hersires siblings) when we purchase an alpaca. Remember the dam contributes 50 percent of the genetic material and the sire contributes 50 percent of the genetic material to the resulting offspring.
Quechua's dam carries one of the brightest and finest fleeces of all the foundation females at Latah Creek Alpacas. Her 4 year old histogram measured an AFD of 21 microns. She is the dam of Champions. Her first son LCA Viho is a National Show winner in both halter and fleece shows. He has won numerous :Judges Choice" awards and "Best Luster" at the largest and most competitive fleece shows held to date. Quechua's sire is the infamous Ice Dancer. Not only does Ice Dancer have an undefeated show record including winning every Color champion award in every show he was entered in as a yearling, his first Son LCA Commander Ice is the 2007 IAO Supreme Champion and AOBA National Color Champion.
We have posted photo's of his first 2 females crias born on our farm, also the 1st two cria's from outside breedings. First year old micron count back on female15.6
We want to thank Nikki and Collins Griffith for their resent purchase of part ownership in LCA Quechau. We
are still looking for another partner.2 breedings 2500
